COUNTERACTING HIGH NOISE LEVELS IN A SATELLITE LINK:A COMPUTER SIMULATION APPROACH

In this paper we consider some aspects of the design of ITALSAT satellite communication system.Due to the poor uplink signal-to-noise ratio, "classical" design approach is useless, so that computer simulation,made practical by some shortcuts,must be used. In particular,we show how the system linear filters and the amplifier operating point can be chosen.
