摘要

The automatic gage control system in tandem cold mill has made remarkable progresses. In the conventional systems, coil threading and tailing out, and/or the accelerating or decelerating of rolling speed could not be controlled completely because of various disturbances. Therefore, the Automatic Tension and Gage Contorol System which could be applied to the entire rolling process from leading end to tail end of tne coil has been developed. In the new system, two types of gage control modes were aded. One is, used for low-Speed rolling stage, employing the optimum control technique which minimizes the gage deviation of each stand by regulating the roll gaps under constant tension, and the other is, used for high-speed rolling stage, employing feed forward control by regulating the roll speed. The system contains another function of the dynamic gage change control.
