At the results when using the one-story model, it seems thetransfer function does not differ significantly from thetheoretical equation.However, in the results using the two-story model, it seemsthat the maximum value is different on the first floor in both ofinput waves. As the maximum value is correlated with thedamping constant(h) and the mode deformation(Uğ›½) the resultsshows us the possibility of errors in values as the layer becomeshigher. In addition, considering that it is a harmonic wave, theerror can become larger.As the characteristics such as first-mode naturalfrequency(F1), damping coefficient (h) and the first-modedeformation(U 𛽠) were important values for the ‘equivalentlinearization method’ the error must be the less the better.Otherwise, we might predict the durability to prepare foraftershocks totally wrongly.
