The research paper is devoted to the development of the Software Model, which provides an opportunity to examine the scene of a crime by using its virtual copy. The Model of Software, described in the research paper, makes it possible to reexamine the crime scene with VR by combining 360-degree photo and 3D scan of the scene of a crime. The proposed Software consists in combination of results of 3D-scanning and 360-degree photo in 3D model of the crime scene, which is transformed into virtual space. The main advantage of this model is the creation of a digital copy of the crime scene on the base of combined data, received by the available and independent technical means of fixation. This is due to the fact that such combination of data by means of software is more affordable than purchasing a whole multifunctional device for obtaining these data without their processing and transforming into virtual space. In this paper the advantages and disadvantages of existing similar technologies are examined, and analysis of its implementation are undertaken. Theoretical evaluation of the possibility of implementing and combining the results of 3D scanning, 360-degree photo and VR in order to improve the efficiency of investigative and procedural actions is carried out. This paper also presents the operational scheme of the mentioned model of software.
