摘要

Electroencephalogram (EEG) is graphical representation of Human Being’s Brain activity. In short Electroencephalogram (EEG) is a biological signal used to understanding Brain working. EEG is threatened by many unwanted signals which makes data noisy. Such unwanted signals are known as Artifacts. Movement of the eyeballs in horizontal/vertical direction and eye blinking produces patterns that are collectively familiar as Eye Movement Artifacts (OA). These noisy signals (OA) tend to be micro-volts in unit, but contaminate the EEG signals. EEG signal is observed in the frequency range of 0-64 Hz, divided into various bands. The Ocular Artifact can be seen within the range of 0-16 Hz, depending on the source. To knoiv, the Ocular Artifact presence is a time consuming process and also needs a Neuro-Expert. To do this efficiently some routine procedure is a needed, so that automatic detection of artifact zones will be handled by system. This paper explain a method to decompose the EEG signal and then identify slow varying OA zones. After detection of OA zones, one can remove by applying Wavelet functions. [1]
