The influence of hard ultraviolet radiation on the crystalline structure and optical properties of thin-film semiconductor cadmium telluride layers obtained by thermal evaporation are investigated. It was established that for CdTe films of cubic modification after hard UV irradiation with a quantum energy of 10.5 eV for 10 hours the parameter a increases from 6.48(68) Å in the initial state to 6.49(42) Å after UV treatment. Studies of the optical properties of thermal cadmium telluride thin films in initial state and after hard UV irradiation indicate that the transmission coefficient and the band gap of the material do not change after hard UV treatment. The decrease in the reflection coefficient in the part of the near-infrared radiation spectrum is caused by the change in the crystal structure of the ultrathin near-surface layer of the CdTe thin film after hard UV treatment.
