Research on Influencing Factors of Fuel Flow Based on QAR Data

The rapid growth of commercial air transportation and the fluctuation of fuel prices have driven the research of airlines’ fuel consumption issues. In order to analyze the main influencing factors of the aircraft fuel flow, based on the QAR data of 737-800, this paper takes the fuel flow of the aeroengine as the fitting target, and collects some parameters related to flight, aeroengine and environment in the QAR to construct the feature vectors. The regression model between the feature vector and fuel flow is established by extremely randomized trees, and the data of historical flight in cruise phase is used to train the model. For feature vectors with or without features related to aeroengine, comparative experiments are carried out, it is proved that the model has strong fuel flow fitting ability. The main influencing factors of fuel flow in cruise phase are sorted by the model’s FIM.
