Recently, an implantable artificial vision device has beendeveloped that practically restores vision to a patient whohas lost vision due to the retinal degeneration such as agerelatedmacular degeneration (AMD). The implantabledevice could deliver an electrical stimulation through thebio-electrodes to achieve a vision recovery. Amongvarious visual remedies, the suprachoroidal-transretinalstimulation (STS) method of implanting electrodes on thechoroid has been attractively considered as a highly safestimulation method, and clinical implantation is mucheasier to operate . Moreover, the human eyeball iscurve and soft so that the implantable device has to bedesigned in flexible and bendable architecture which iscompatible for nature of retina tissue . Therefore, wehave been devoted to fabricating the flexible device byusing the STS method . In this research, we havedeveloped a new Bio-MEMS (bio-microelectromechanicalsystem) technology to fabricate a flexible honeycomb typedevice with CMOS smart electrode array.
