Soyuz-the russian human transportation system

摘要

This paper describes the Soyuz-TM spacecraft, which is the newest version of the Russian human space transportation vehicle. In addition to the basic subsystems and their characteristics, the Soyuz-booster, the Progress spacecraft, and a typical mission scenario are briefly explained. The data in the paper are based on the author's two-years consmonaut training and experience at the Yuri Gagarin Cosmonaut Training Center, near Moscow, and space flight on Soyuz-TM 13, October 2-10, 1991.
