A novel multiple-expert approach to the recognition of handwrittenwords extracted from British cheques has been presented. It has beendemonstrated that this multiple-expert technique has enhancedrecognition accuracy than that of the component classifiers. Inaddition, it has also been demonstrated that this multiple-expertapproach has higher throughput than that of the individual expertsworking on their own
