A scheme is proposed to facilitate remote monitoring (metering) ofHT consumers from the substation. This uses the HT feeder itself as thecommunication medium. The feasibility of the scheme is studied throughsimulation and is also experimentally verified on TNA. The resultsobtained are presented and discussed. The scheme adopts series injectiontechnique. The scheme proposed is different in approach from that ofpopular power line carrier communications used for long haulcommunication
