This paper describes an object-oriented CAD system forelectro-pneumatic sequential circuits. The system is organised in anobject-oriented manner for supporting both pneumatic power system andcontrol system design. An algorithm is developed based on the Karnaughmapping method to generate indexing equations to link appropriateobjects to perform sequential control system design. The algorithmdeveloped can handle an ordinary sequence, a sequence with simultaneouspaths and a time delay function. A class which encapsulates thisalgorithm is described in detail. A prototype system (OOCADEP) writtenin C++ has been developed to demonstrate the concept
