Recent developments in thermophotovoltaic conversion

Recent developments in silicon photovoltaic cells for use in a thermophotovoltaic energy converter have yielded conversion efficiencies of 29 percent with a 2300 K blackbody source. The structure and fabrication of these cells will be presented.
