A New Image Correction Method for the Moving-Object Recognition of Low-Illuminance Video-Images

In this research, we propose a new image correction method for low-illuminance video images. In previous research, we proposed the preprocessing of moving-object detection by combination of gamma correction and a denoising filter. In this paper, we propose the new correction method by combining two gamma functions. From the experimental results, most “low-illuminance images with low light” obtained the best peak signal-to-noise ratio (PSNR) through use of the proposed method.
