Identification of Bahasa Indonesia official computer terms in Indonesian government websites

In 2001, the government of Republic of Indonesia issued the official computer terms in Bahasa Indonesia (or known as Senarai Padanan Istilah/SPI) in conjunction with the regulation called Instruksi Presiden No. 2 Tahun 2011. SPI is aimed to replace the foreign terms in computer field to Bahasa Indonesia. Sixteen years after being published, SPI should be implemented widely especially by Indonesian governments. This research is aimed to observe the implementation of SPI by Indonesian governments especially in primary government official websites. The usage of SPI can be identified by observing the frequency distribution of SPI words year by year. Observation on the old Indonesian government website was conducted from web archives. Research stages include crawling the collection of web pages from the Indonesian government websites with regular expression for URL Syntax component, content extraction with boilerplate detection method, text processing including word weighting by using Term Frequency (TF) and stemming, string matching, word count calculation and data analysis. The result shows that there are 32 or 5.09% of SPI that have been applied to the Indonesian government websites. Seventeen SPI are identified occur between 2001 and 2003. A total of 15 SPI have been identified in use from 2006. The results of this research can be an input to the related parties for further action.
