Letter-To-Sound conversion for speech synthesizer

摘要

This article describes a research of Letter-To-Sound (LTS) rules and grapheme to phoneme (G2P) relations in the Slovak language from context independent point of view. The research is based on G2P conversion. The article describes a method for finding of phonemes (alternative pronunciations), which correspond to some grapheme. The method is corpus based. The method determines the likelihood of transcription of the letter to the phoneme. Research has been done for the Slovak language.
