In the case of communities inhabiting space, we will see that such community associates meanings to space as how the community members use such space. This process is important as eventually the members might re-assign spaces with different uses. In such cases we cannot analyze spaces based on the designations written in the official drawings prepared by the architect, as the community might change the use of spaces or the hierarchy of these. Such changes might not imply physical modification of the original plans or the designer’s plans, but still, truly affect the inhabitation and meaning of the buildings in the same way as modifying the buildings.
