In this paper we propose a new algorithm for analyzing electromagnetic scattering from randomly rough surfaces. This algorithm combines the SSD method with the SMCG method to achieve high efficiency, as demonstrated in our previous work for surfaces with small to moderate roughness, and then uses the Chebyshev approximation to replace the Taylor expansion for the residual part of the far interaction. Numerical example demonstrated the accuracy of the proposed method for surfaces with roughness as large as 2??.
