We present the ongoing development of a new groundsoftware system used for integrating, testing and operatingspacecraft. The Advanced Integration and Test Services(AITS) project aims at providing a solution for electricalground support equipment and mission control systemsin future Astrium Space Transportation missions.Traditionally ESA ground or flight software developmentprojects are conducted according to a waterfall-like processas specified in the ECSS-E-40 standard promotedby ESA in the European industry. In AITS a decisionwas taken to adopt an agile development process. Thiswork could serve as a reference for future ESA softwareprojects willing to apply agile concepts.
