The real estate filed is full of building and proposed projects, along with more and more construction materials procurement. The prices of these main construction materials have risen sharply to be an important factor in project cost. Firstly the paper analyzes the status quo of construction materials in China, the factors affecting the project cost and the importance of construction materials procurement. Relying on the wood trade-off situation of Southwest Construction Materials Market in Chengdu, the paper reveals the main problems in the wood procurement by using the proposed Integrated Construction Materials Procurement Information Platform of Southwest Construction Materials Market as a research tool. At last, it brings forward the efficient solutions to control the material procurement cost and try to find out a new breakthrough for project cost control.
