Recent Developments in Low-Temperature Electrolysis of Aluminum

Recent developments in the field of low-temperature electrolytesand electrolysis are reviewed. Although no fundamental problemswith low-temperature aluminum electrolysis development as anindustrial process have been identified, challenges remain in celldesign, construction, and operation of cells with these emergingtechnologies.
