Concatenated coding schemes with bounded distance inner decoding,optimized erasing, and single-trial erasures-and-errors bounded distanceouter decoding are considered. Expressions for the ratio between theguaranteed number of correctable channel errors and the (designed)Hamming distance of the concatenated code are presented in case eitherthe inner code distance or the outer code distance goes toinfinity
