General diffraction-free fields produced by computer-generatedholograms

Diffraction-free beams are peculiar physical wavefields that arefinding an increasing number of applications. The authors demonstratethat useful approximations to various types of diffraction-free beamsmay be generated by means of computer holography. They also show thatthe properties of these reconstructed wavefields may be analysedefficiently by the method of stationary phase
