摘要

This paper analyzes the importance of gear parameter detection in industrial production,using digital image processingtechnology to detect gear parameters.In view of the shortcomings of the existing measurement methods, a method ofmeasuring gear size parameters based on hough transform circle segmentation is proposed.The center of the gear isfound by using hough transform on the contour of the gear.According to the distance from the contour point to thecenter point, a new coordinate system is established,expand the gear contour into a regular curve on the newcoordinate.The number of crest of the curve is the number of teeth of the gear, and the ordinate of crest is the radius ofthe tooth tip circle of the gear. Finally, other parameters of gear are calculated according to gear formula.
