Market demands for Surface Piercing Propellers (SPPs) are high in both commercial and naval branches. It is the main propulsion system in high-speed marine vehicles (HSMVs).Unlike water-jet pump, behavior of the HSMVs is susceptible to the large transverse force and torque of SPP. This problem is usually solved with double-SPPs .This paper uses a numerical method to predict the hydrodynamic characteristics of the double-SPPs. The effects of mutual interference on the hydrodynamic characteristics of SPPs are analyzed. Especially, the transverse force and moment .Some results are shown which significance to improve ship maneuverability and ship speed.
