The Application of Nearshore Risk Assessment of Marine Resources Area for National Spatial Plan

The management and use of marine and nearshore areas are currentlyof high concern. The aim of this study was to designate marine resourcezones by nearshore risk assessment. Taiwan’s Ministry of the Interiorannounced a national spatial plan on April 30, 2018, and proposedconditions for the allocation of marine resource zones based on theexclusivity or compatibility of the legal use of marine areas. Therefore,the results of this study of nearshore risk can serve as a basis for thedesignation of marine resource zones.
