Model slicing is a key process in 3D printing technology from digital model to entity. Traditional slicing technologytakes a long time to slice massive model files. Using distributed computing technology and cloud platform technology,distributed model slicing can be realized to improve processing efficiency. In this paper, we propose a distributed 3Dprinting slice cloud platform based on cloud computing, which combines model layout algorithm to segment massivemodel printing tasks. In this paper, 25 models are used to carry out the distributed slicing experiment. The maximumacceleration ratio is 2.25. The results show that the problem of too long slicing time in 3D printing production can beeffectively solved by using distributed computing technology combined with model layout algorithm.
