The technology Electron Beam Melting (EBM) enables to melt metal powders for building parts with nearfull density from a 3d file. The powder is processed in a vacuum chamber reaching values of temperatureclose to 50% of the melting point of the metal alloy. Most common materials ready for the market areTi6Al4V, Ti6Al4V-ELI, Titanium Grade-2 and Cobalt Chromium ASTM-F75. A wider range of materialssuitable to be processed shall allow expanding the industrial applications of this technology. AIDIMMEhas researched on the development of the parameters setup for processing pure-Copper by means ofEBM. This research was done since 2014 and along 3 years for a specific and patented industrialapplication: Induction heating. This is the process of heating an electrically conducting metal byelectromagnetic induction. Induction heating allows the targeted heating of an applicable item forapplications including surface hardening, melting, brazing, soldering and heating to fit.
