The development of an automatic power factor test set forelectrical insulation

An automatic insulation power factor test set was designed anddeveloped. The requirements for an instrument that would measure thepower factor of electrical insulation under all shop and fieldconditions are presented. A variety of available circuits for such atest set are discussed, and the selected circuitry and the operatingsoftware for the test set are described. Results of some typicalmeasurements are presented
