A systematic approach to simulate power electronic circuits ondigital computers

It is shown that switching devices can be modeled as variableinductors which are controlled by independent off-on controllers. As thetopology of the circuit changes due to closing and opening of theswitches, it is shown that only one set of linear state-space equationsis needed to characterize a power electronic circuit mathematically.Therefore, a system of converters with a large number of randomlyvariable-switched topologies can be simulated methodically.
