This paper deals with the impact of harmonic distortion intransformer loss of life, by calculating its hottest spot temperatureapplying the finite elements approach. This is done by using a digitalprogram entitled EFCAD (Electromagnetic Fields Computer Aided Design).Various cases for typical transformers are presented
