The author describes the Spider project, an investigation incollaborative technologies underway in the Advance Technology Group atApple Computer. Spider combines emerging communications technologieswith information management and behavioral science analysis of workflowprocesses. Integrated into the Spider system are teleconferencingfacilities, screen sharing capabilities, and a variety of meetingsupport tools.
