A modified adaptive compensation scheme for nonlinear bandlimitedsatellite channels

The authors propose a modified algorithm for an adaptivepredistorter (APD) to compensate for the nonlinear distortionencountered in a satellite channel. They describe a recursive algorithmfor an APD in rectangular coordinates and give the structure forimplementation of the algorithm. A modified recursive algorithm which iscalled the sign algorithm and the structure for implementation areproposed. Computer simulation results show that the sign algorithm iseffective for the compensation of nonlinear satellite channels.
