Software engineering and software documentation: a unified longcourse

摘要

The author describes the development of a course at Rose-HulmanInstitute of Technology that integrates software engineering andsoftware documentation. A brief evaluation is followed by a discussionof future plans. It is pointed out that the most significant benefit ofthe combined course is the improved software engineering abilities ofthe students. The students see the importance of presentation andwriting skills in the software development process. They apply theseskills in ways that improve their ability to develop large softwaresystems
