The paper's contribution is a description of a knowledgemanagement process and tools for a virtual organization. A virtualorganization is described as an interconnected set of managementsystems. The first connection is conceptual in nature and is seenthrough a project which defines the need for knowledge management. Thesecond connection is informational and is experienced through electronicmanagement tools. Knowledge management is composed of knowledgecreation, assimilation, and dissemination. Management tools connectmanagement systems for improved information flow and rapid knowledgegrowth to effect project execution.
