This paper explains the process beingused at the IBM electronic card and test facility in Austin, Texas togain ownership and commitment through the involvement of manufacturingpersonnel in process re-engineering. The approach is simple andstraight-forward, encompassing shared vision and values, organization,staffing, roles and responsibilities, measurements and the manufacturingprocess itself.
