In hybrid excited synchronous machine (HESM) the magnetic flux is created by permanent magnets located on rotor and electric excited winding on stator. This advantage provides maximum torque and acceleration at the start-up and speed over nominal. In this paper the speed control of HESM with field weakening is developed and investigated. The control is developed based upon reverse task of dynamics in combination of local functionals minimization of instantaneous values of energy. The control system ensures robustness to parameter`s change and dynamic decomposition HESM without appliance of algorithms of adaptation and compensation. System controllers does not include parameters of HESM and differentiation operations that ensures simplicity of realization. The research of control was made for 4 different HESM without reconfiguration of controllers with a twofold increase of speed relative to the nominal. The control system maintains a constant torque in the first control zone and a constant mechanical power in the second control zone by changing the excitation current of HESM. The results of the study of the speed control of the HESM with the weakening of the field showed high quality control.
