The work observes relevant theme on development and research of differential electromagnetic transducer and its application for continuous noncontact monitoring of mechanical tensions arising in electric drive shafts in electromechanical systems. The authors carried out experimental studies for developing formulas, connecting the value of mechanical tension with output signals of the transducer. Graphs of output signals of the transformer transducer were received. The authors evaluated the sensitivity of the transducer and chose the most informative parameters of the output signal of the developed sensor for mechanical tension monitoring.
