Currently, fuel cells (FCs) are being taken into account to be incorporated into electrical systems. This is due to their environmental advantages and their inexhaustible service as long as it fuel is supplied. This work presents the incorporation of a Proton Exchange Membrane Fuel Cell (PEMFC) stack to an electrical network by means of a DC/DC boost converter and a DC/AC inverter. The PEMFC stack is composed of 900 cells. The power converter uses PI linear controllers to regulate the electrical variables necessary to safely and reliably inject power into the grid. The current and voltage responses of the stack, the converter and the inverter to a change in the power injection in the system are presented.
