Raphael—The Smart Helmet

India is the world's largest two wheeler market. One in three households owns a two wheeler in India. A helmet can reduce shock from an accident and may save a life. Many countries apply various regulations that requires the motorcycle's rider to wear a helmet when riding on their motorcycle, so we designed this helmet in such a way that it ensures the motorcyclist wears this helmet and drives their motorcycle safely. We have used a force sensing resistor and heart rate sensor to check whether the person has worn the helmet or not. Over 1 lakh people are dying on road per year due to motorcycle accidents in India alone, so we have included automatic ambulance call service.
