This paper discusses the exact discretization of linear time-varying (LTV) systems. Usually, Taylor series based methods are used for exact discretization of the continuous-time systems. The extended versions of Taylor based methods have been reported in recent years for nonlinear systems as well but they have been found to be ineffective in case of LTV systems. The reason of avoiding Taylor based methods for exact discretization has been discussed in this article and an alternative method has been proposed. This is an integration approach based method for obtaining the exact discrete version. Illustrative examples shown here, discusses the effectiveness of proposed method and presents comparative analyses for exact discretization.
