The present study aims at the assessment of groundwater in terms of water quality index (WQI) of the Fuljhore area at Durgapur city. Five source points of groundwater samples were collected and nine physicochemical parameters viz, Total Dissolved Solid (TDS), Dissolve Oxygen (DO), hardness, turbidity, chloride, fluoride, salinity, pH and electrical conductivity were analyzed. The point source includes industrial, residential, rural and college areas of in an around Fuljhore. The analysis was carried out in 2019. The water quality index (WQI) using geographic information system (GIS) of the groundwater samples was measured.
