The paper presents the design of the high impact microprocessor control system for electric drives with synchronous motors for underwater vehicles propulsion. To improve the reliability and increase the AUV drive moment, the novel high-performance configuration of electric drive was proposed which could include two or more synchronous motors DMB-series electric motors installed at the same engine shaft. The microprocessor control system for transistor converters was developed to be used for two DMB 150 synchronous motors and an angle sensor. The system enables the functioning of one or two motors simultaneously. The adaptive control system with the invariant control action, reference model system with the signal and parameter self-adjusting was developed to improve dynamic characteristics of the electric drive. A prototype of an AUV propulsion electric drive was developed and tested, which proved the analytical calculations.
