In the present-day world we are residing in a highly industrialized and tech-driven environment. No single day goes without interacting with the mechanized surrounding. It goes without saying that it does have an adverse effect on the environment we live in. There is a concerning need to monitor the quality of air present in the working environment. This paper focuses on a device capable of monitoring the index of air quality in the industrial environment along with fire safety measures for the employees. This is achieved by using a wifienabled ESP8266 NodeMCU microcontroller which is interfaced with air quality monitoring sensor MQ135, DHT11 (humidity and temperature) sensor for environmental parameters and flame sensor (IR based) for fire safety. OLED (I2C) as a display module. The proposed device works with the Blynk application (an IoT platform) with Thingspeak cloud storage.
