A differential game based cooperative guidance strategy is proposed for the active-aircraft defence from an attacking interceptor, where the target aircraft actively protects itself by launching a defending interceptor to intercept the attacking interceptor. To increase the effectiveness of the defending interceptor, the proposed guidance strategy also imposes an impact angle constraint at the time of interception with negligible miss distance. The three-body pursuit-evasion problem is formulated as a linear quadratic differential game (LQDG) problem. Firstly, a general form of the cooperative guidance strategy for the linear quadratic differential game is presented. Then an analytic solution of LQDG is derived for a case of zero-lag dynamics of the adversaries. Finally, numerical simulations are carried out for several test cases to evaluate the performance of the proposed cooperative guidance strategy.
