With new and advanced technologies unfolding the future vehicles, automotive sector is rising rapidly. In today’s automotive industry, the main focus is on light weighting and energy efficient vehicles with good structural integrity and high comfort. To empower our automotive industry and to continuously improve in these areas, one of the major aspect that has to be considered is the control over unwanted vibration. And, with the rising complexity, the passive measures alone won’t be able counter them, thus there is a need for active control measures.Smart Materials have been in and around but have been unnoticed. These are materials that possess the ability to change their physical properties in response to certain stimulus. The stimulus may be heat, light, current, moisture, magnetic field, etc. These materials along with supporting techniques can control vibration in active manner.This paper describes a complete methodology of active vibration control using piezo-electric materials on 2-wheeler handle bar
