In order to guide the tissue culture plantlets transplanting robot to cut and transplant strip tissue culture seedlings accurately while guaranteeing the real-time requirements, a fast search method based on traditional template-matching algorithm is proposed for node recognition. Lossless compression of binary image was utilized to optimize the memory storage. A fast search method is proposed to shorten the running time of the algorithm effectively while not depressing the accuracy of recognition. An experimental prototype of image processing subsystem is developed to verify the proposed method.
