Time-triggered Ethernet (TTE) provides the solution for scenarios with high reliability requirements, which takes into account high bandwidth and compatibility of Ethernet as well as time-triggered network's high deterministic and real-time characteristics. Clock synchronization is the basis of reliability and real-time characteristic of TTE. This paper analyzes the factors affecting the synchronization precision of TTE network and simulates them with OPNET software. The simulation results show that the errors from transparent clock recording, stability and precision of crystal vibration will make the synchronization precision lower. The improved synchronization algorithm can suppress the influence of errors to some extent and keep the synchronization precision at a high level.
