The article is about the problem of developing a universal mathematical model, the use of which would make it possible to estimate and calculate the parameters of the power supply system of a separate area at an industrial enterprise both in normal operation and emergency modes. The authors describe requirements which submit claims for power supply systems of industrial enterprises from the point of view of safety and efficiency. A universal mathematical model was developed in the MatLab environment that takes into account various types of loads: active and reactive, low-voltage and high-voltage, low and high power. The advantages and disadvantages of the model, the ability of analysis of the results in graphical and numerical form are given. To confirm the efficiency of the developed model, the example of determining with its help the short-circuit currents of one of the areas of the industrial enterprise is given. The results of the research showed that the error of nominal values and simulation results does not exceed 5% in a normal operation and while determining short-circuit currents the error is 10%. Thus, the conclusions were drawn about the correctness of the developed universal mathematical model and about the possibility of its use in the designing of new and reconstruction of old power supply systems of industrial enterprise areas.
