Distributed Generation with Renewable Energy is a vast subject and a current research on national and international level, mainly due to the high level of development of the solutions in the production of energy from renewable sources. The continuous development of the production technologies has determined in recent years the penetration of the renewable sources into the energy distribution systems in an increasing proportion, in some cases radically modifying their structure. It is proposed as a case study the modeling in the “ATP - Alternative Transients Program” of a real medium voltage distribution network and the validation of the model based on results recorded in the real network. The ATP model obtained is intended to be usable and reliable for further analysis of transient regimes.
